Stars headline mayor’s concert

TICKETS are still available to Greater Dandenong mayor Peter Brown’s Mayoral Charity Concert.
The Mayoral Charity Concert will be held on Tuesday, 1 August at The Drum Theatre, Dandenong.
The revamped town hall will play host to headline acts including Wendy Stapleton, Peter Brocklehurst and Cotton, Keays, and Morris.
Cr Brown said he hoped residents and the business community would throw their support behind the event which will raise much-needed funds for local charities.
“We have been able to secure some great names in Australian entertainment and they will perform under the one roof in a concert that will be one to remember,” he said.
“But, more importantly, local charities will benefit from the concert so we can all play a part in raising money for charities that really are the backbone of our community.”
Cornerstone and Wellsprings will be two of the beneficiaries of the concert.
Tickets for the 2006 Mayoral Charity Concert are $65 for general and $55 for members and concession holders. Book on 9771 6666.
