A 15-YEAR-OLD Dandenong boy was the victim of a vicious assault and attempted robbery as he walked home from the Dandenong Railway Station on Friday night.
The attack occurred near Wedge Street after the boy had witnessed three cars hooning around nearby.
One of the hoons, driving a dark blue Holden Commodore, then approached and pelted the boy with eggs thrown from the vehicle.
Two males then assaulted him and attempted to steal his mobile phone, before fleeing.
The offenders were described as being of islander appearance, in their early 20s and with short black curly hair.
Anyone with information on the attack can contact Senior Detective Mastromanno at the Dandenong Police Station on 9767 7486.
