Website tackles drugs

GREATER Dandenong Council has launched a new website that acts as a one-stop-shop for illicit drug and community safety information.
For a number of years, council’s Community Safety Unit has used two websites – Safety Matters and Drug Action – to inform residents on community safety, drug and alcohol services, and local community health programs.
The new unified website has been designed to give residents one location for the above information, under the name of Community Safety.
Community Safety features specific information about drugs and community safety, local programs and services, and includes information targeted specifically at young people, adults and seniors.
Find out about common drugs and their effects, the reasons why people use drugs, what to do in an emergency, how to report graffiti and discarded syringes, practical advice and support on how to keep your home, neighbourhood and business safe.
