STUDENTS, teachers and parents at Isik College put on a cultural extravaganza with the school’s annual fete last weekend.
Hundreds of people passed through the Islamic school over three days to enjoy doner kebabs, handcrafted towels and mats, and a jumping castle.
Isik College teacher Saniye Coskundag said the school, which caters for grades prep to year 10, had raised about $10,000, making the event its largest fundraiser.
Ms Coskundag said the fete would not have been possible without the outstanding efforts of the school community, including parents, teachers and students.
She said parents had manned stalls, cooked food, supplied crafted goods and dedicated long hours to the three-day fete.
The school has 200 students and is located in Keysborough.
