THE Springers Indoor Bias Bowls Club is ready to roll towards next month’s Commonwealth Games.
Part of Springers Leisure Centre, the club is participating in the Are You Game program, designed to get Victorians into the sporting frame of mind before the games on 15 March.
Springers will host a free introduction to bowling for beginners over three Sundays (12.30pm to 5.30pm), starting this weekend and continuing on 26 February and 5 March.
Experienced bowlers will be available for tips and skill sessions with those new to the game of indoor bias bowls, an indoor adaptation of lawn bowls.
President of the club Robert Constable said the club provided a great atmosphere for people to get involved.
“We provide an atmosphere where players of all ages can learn the game, play competition against club members or other clubs or simply come along and participate socially.
“We’re hoping people from all over the City of Greater Dandenong will come and get involved,” Mr Constable said.
Springers Leisure Centre is located at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough.
Those interested in participating should contact Robert Constable on 0422 305 676 or just attend on the day.
