THE IMAGES of renowned press photographer Bruce Postle have created a flurry of excitement in the lead up to Dandenong’s gala opening of the Drum Theatre and Town Hall.
The starstudded lineup of pictures at Dandenong’s Walker Street Gallery showcase five decades of the former press photographer’s arts and entertainment folio, including The Beatles, Johnny O’Keefe, James Morrison, Robbie Williams and Pavarotti. But in the digital age, there is more to Mr Postle’s photographic stable than meets the eye.
On the exhibition’s opening night last week, the gallery attracted 150 visitors and City of Greater Dandenong visual and community arts coordinator Cathy van Ee said it had received a constant stream of visitors since.
The Bruce Postle exhibition will run until 25 February, and can be viewed during the Walker Street Gallery’s opening hours of 11am to 5pm weekdays, and 11am to 3pm on Saturdays.
