THE fight for a Medicare branch at Parkmore Shopping Centre continued this week with centre manager Linda Burgess throwing her support behind the campaign.
Ms Burgess and Keysborough Ward councillor Roz Blades are working closely with Federal Isaacs MP Ann Corcoran to secure a Medicare branch for the growing community.
“As a result of constant feedback from customers and the local Keysborough community, Parkmore Shopping Centre strongly supports the addition of a Medicare office at the centre,” Ms Burgess said.
“We will continue to work with Medicare, councillor Roz Blades and Federal Member for Isaacs, Ann Corcoran, in striving to meet the needs of the local community, for a Medicare office at Parkmore.”
Last week Star reported that Cr Blades had tabled a petition at a council meeting that contained just under 3000 signatures collected from shoppers over the course of three weeks.
