A SPATE of thefts at Eastlink construction sites has police urging anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity to contact them.
Breakins have occurred at sites on the corner of the Princes Highway and Heatherton Road, Greens Road in Dandenong South, and Cheltenham Road in Keysborough.
Police said there had been a number of breakins, ransackings and items stolen in the past couple of weeks and the thefts were continuing.
A construction site in Robertson Street, Dandenong, was also robbed on 1 November.
Police said copper piping valued at $9600 had been stripped from the site.
Two men and a woman were interviewed after copper piping was sold to Sims Metal the next day. A man and woman were later bailed to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court and a man was remanded in custody.
Anyone with information should contact Dandenong CIU on 9767 7478.
