POLICE investigating an incident that left a 20-year-old man with serious injuries have charged a 21-year-old man.
Transit detectives arrested and charged Mark Eli of Noble Park with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, assault with a weapon and unlawful assault. At a filing hearing on Monday at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, Mr Eli’s hearing was adjourned until 13 December. A 20-year-old man who boarded a train at Springvale Station on 16 September was left fighting for his life when an encounter with another passenger led to the man jumping from the moving train at Sandown Station.
