HOMICIDE Squad detectives have charged a 41yearold man with the murder of his housemate, following the discovery of a body at a Balmoral Avenue home in Springvale on Tuesday night.
Police wen to the home at around 8.30pm and found the body of a man believed to be in his 50s.
A police spokesperson said it appeared the man may have been assaulted.
The man appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear again on 16 October for a committal mention.
An autopsy was also conducted yesterday to determine the cause of death.
