AN APPLICATION by Harvey Norman to construct a commercial retail outlet in Springvale was approved last week by Greater Dandenong council.
The Star revealed earlier this month that the retail giant was seeking to build an outlet on the corner of Westall Road and Princes Highway, Springvale, opposite the Dulux factory – in a prime position to accept customer catchments from Greater Dandenong and the City of Monash.
The site, at 917 Princes Highway, Springvale, will also host a gymnasium and bowling alley, and cater for 932 car parking spaces.
Councillors Alan Gordon and Youhorn Chea moved and seconded the item.
