KEYSBOROUGH’s Southern Golf Club has picked up an accolade at a State Government business awards ceremony.
The 2005 ClubsVIC Achievements Awards were held recently at Crown Casino with the Essendon Football Club picking up Victorian club of the Year.
But on the local front, it was the Keysborough-based golf club which picked up the Best Club Redevelopment of Alteration of a Club Without Gaming Machines award for its efforts in providing a sound social facility.
The Star contacted Southern Golf Club for comment, but did not receive a response before going to press.
