THREE cars, including one with a tandem trailer, collided at a busy Keysborough intersection last week, causing major delays to peak-hour traffic.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Perry and Greens roads in Keysborough at 3.40pm on Monday 5 November after a black Toyota four-wheel drive towing a Ford Laser and a Holden Calais sedan collided.
The Calais then hit a nearby power pole.
A white Mercedes four-wheel drive then connected with the trailer’s wheels, causing damage to its bumper zone.
Firefighters on scene said the biggest casualty was that fresh eggs the driver had collected from a nearby shop had splattered throughout the interior upon impact.
Peak-hour traffic suffered an even slower crawl through the intersection while firefighters cleaned the mess.
Springvale, Keysborough and Dandenong Country Fire Authority crews were all on scene.
