WHAT a day it was for Maralinga Primary School students as the fruits of their acting efforts came to bear this week.
The entire school of 210 students took part in the musical What A Day! at Chandler Community Centre beginning with a matinee performance on Monday, and concluding with a night performance tonight (Thursday).
Performing arts teacher David Campbell wrote the script while various grades of students performed the different acts.
The core cast of Heba Abdalla, Michael Le, Caitlin McCarthy, Nancy Nguyen and Huska Palic played the five students whose lives are transformed by a school excursion to a television studio.
Along the way the group is disjointed from the main class and each wanders into a different television set.
Some of the fictional characters included Gretel McSpleen, Rave McFungus, Tommy the Prank Engine, and the Fit Controller.
What a great effort
