School speeds

WITH children returning to school this week police are advising motorists to pay extra attention when driving near schools.
They say school crossings that have not been in use over the holidays will be operating again.
Motorists are also being advised of the 40 kilometre per hour speed limit operating near most schools and are being told to make sure they comply with the traffic signs regulating speeds in these areas.
Drivers are urged to watch out for children crossing the roads after they have been dropped off from buses or cars near schools.
