SELLEN and its partners are hosting an inaugural Science, Engineering and Technology Forum for students across the south-east suburbs on 22 April.
The science, engineering and technology industries are experiencing skills shortages and are struggling to attract and retain young people in employment.
SELLEN’s community projects co-ordinator Alex Palazzolo said the forum hoped to address these issues by providing over 300 secondary students with information about current and emerging career opportunities and education pathways in these important industries.
Among the speakers will be Peter Jamieson, consumer executive director at Telstra.
The forum will be held on 22 April 2009 from 11am to 1.30pm at Kingston City Hall, 979-985 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin.
For details contact Alex Palazzolo at SELLEN on 9706 8711.
