THE STREETS of Noble Park were lined with Anzac pride as members of the RSL held their annual march and service on Sunday.
Noble Park RSL president Gordon Murray said that the day was well attended by over 400 people.
“We had about 200 marchers and about the same there to watch,” Mr Murray said.
“It was a very good day.”
He said guest speaker Brigadier Tony Holden spoke at the service about his time in the Special Forces before retiring in 1996.
“It was a wonderful day,” Mr Murray said.
“We were even joined by army cadets, members of the air league and scouts on the march.”
He said wreaths were laid by Water Minister Tim Holding, mayor Pinar Yesil and other community groups.
“We hold it a week early so that our members can head into the city and meet with their mates in the city,” he said.
“This is just a celebration for the club.”
