POLICE will keep a close watch on school zones this week in an effort to improve road safety as students return to school after the hoildays.
Drivers are reminded to observe the speed limits surrounding school zones.
School zones operate between 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on school days.
The times reflect different starting and finishing times at schools and take into account that children often return or leave for excursions outside of school times, are running late or parents are returning to their cars with young children after dropping off other children.
