ARCO restaurant opened early last year and is making waves in Dandenong South.
Building its clientele from scratch in an industrial area, chef Joe DiCintio and Peter Chiaravalle relied on word of mouth and the business quickly established a fine reputation.
The concept of the restaurant has proved popular with the front half offering cafe style dining and full breakfast, while the rear is carpeted and offers a la carte dining. The business now employs four chefs, including an apprentice, and has five front-of-house staff.
It is just another example of a Dandenong business bucking the trend of the economic gloom and looking at a brighter future.
The business is a nominee in the areas of Small Business, Retail, Service Excellence and a Premier Regional Business Award.
Bright start, better future
