A DRINK-DRIVER who killed two friends in a high-speed crash has been jailed.
Maria Makridakis, 26, was ordered to serve a minimum of six years after pleading guilty to two counts of culpable driving causing the deaths of Noble Park residents Lirijeta Sulemani, 18, and Channelle Metcalfe, 22.
She also pleaded guilty to two counts of negligent driving causing serious injury.
It was found Makridakis, then 23, reached speeds up to 180km/h while driving on Dandenong Road, North Caulfield, on September 21, 2006.
She lost control of the car and crashed into a tree.
