COOMOORA Primary School in Springvale South celebrated Education Week with four days of entertainment and activities.
Students from Prep to Grade 6 participated in a number of multi-age activities last week focusing on literacy and numeracy including card tricks, word searches, trivia and poetry. A highlight of the week’s festivities was a performance of The Sound Garden by the Oz Opera. Students then had to revisit the show doing recount, poetry and procedural writing of the performance and retelling the performance to a partner.
Education Week was celebrated across the state showcasing the great work happening in kindergartens and schools and giving children every opportunity to shine.
