A 79-YEAR-OLD Dandenong woman suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision in Lyndhurst last week.
Investigators believe that at 1.45pm on 27 May, a blue Ford Fairmont was heading east on Thompsons Road.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a west bound Toyota 4WD.
The Dandenong woman, a passenger in the 4WD, was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.
Ambulance Victoria said a 38-year-old woman and 37-year-old man were taken to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries, and two others, including a 47-year-old woman, were taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
