Actor’s French kissing

FORMER Noble Park resident and actress Natalie Vella was the star of a feature film shown last Saturday at the Australian Centre for Moving Images.
Kissing Paris, a film by Australian writer-director Anna Kavanna, was shown at ACMI to celebrate France’s Bastille Day (14 July).
The film focuses on Ms Vella’s character, Claire, who travels to Paris seeking to rediscover her mother’s romantic past in the city.
Throughout filming of the feature in Paris, Ms Vella doubled as the film’s technician helping Ms Kavanna set up the camera, adjust sound levels and film additional footage. A film maker herself, Ms Vella is busy producing her own documentary, This is Noble Park.
The documentary will be part of a trilogy about her life and upbringing in the suburb she once called home.
Vella now lives in Paris where she keeps her Australian ties by hosting a radio program dedicated to promoting Australian music.
