THE City of Greater Dandenong will receive more than $9 million in Financial Assistance Grants from the Federal Government this financial year.
Bruce MP Alan Griffin said the funding was great news for the Dandenong community.
“The council will be able to spend its grant on local priorities to deliver roads and services for the Greater Dandenong community,” Mr Griffin said.
“Greater Dandenong residents expect good local roads, decent libraries, well-maintained parks, regular garbage pickups and high quality childcare and other services,” he said.
The Victorian Grants Commission recommends the level of Federal grants for each local council.
