A 46-YEAR-OLD Noble Park man has been remanded in custody following a double stabbing in Noble Park.
Both victims were taken to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries after the incident last Thursday.
Homicide Squad detectives and local police are still seeking witnesses to the 4.30am stabbing of two men in their 60s at a unit in Larbert Road, Noble Park.
Paramedics were called to the scene just after 5am.
Intensive care paramedic Jason Callanan said the first crew arrived to find one of the men sitting on the step outside the house.
“The man had been stabbed a number of times in the front bus was able to walk over to us,” Mr Callanan said. “We moved him to the ambulance and started treating him. He had quite a low blood pressure as a result of the injuries.
“He was given some pain relief drugs through a drip in his arm.”
Mr Callanan said while paramedics were treating him, police found the other man, who had been stabbed twice in the back, in a backyard several houses away.
“His blood pressure was also dangerously low, which indicates he was bleeding internally,” he said.
The 46-year-old Noble Park man is due to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in February.
Anyone who heard or saw anything is encouraged to contact Detective Senior Constable Ashley Penry on 9767 7633 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
