Wet ‘n’ wild weather frustrates

CRICKETERS and officials are frustrated at the continued adverse weather wreaking havoc with this season’s cricket fixtures as yet another week is lost because of rain meddling with pitch and ground conditions.
Last week Premier Cricket Victoria declared it a league wash-out for the first week of all round 13 matches, including the Panthers’ game against Footscray-Edgewater.
This Saturday, four points are up for grabs as the Panthers and Footscray don the coloured uniforms to battle it out in a one-dayer at the Mervyn G. Hughes Oval.
Noble Park Sub-District first XI will play 12th-placed Yarraville at the Yarraville Oval for their round nine one-day clash this Saturday.
