Eight more lives to go

A WOMAN called in to Dandenong fire station last month after she heard strange sounds from under her bonnet – but not of the usual kind.
She heard meowing from under her car as she drove down the Princes Highway on Monday 17 January.
Not owning a cat herself, she went to the Dandenong CFA to have it rescued.
Qualified firefighter Andrew Koscielecki came to her aid and started stripping the car to pieces.
He managed to spot a little bit of fur around the wheel arch cover near the engine bay. After removing the wheel on the front passengers side he saved the kitten from under the panel.
It was taken to the neighbouring veterinary clinic.
