THERE were plenty of first day jitters as Prep students across the City of Greater Dandenong made their transition to school last week.
More than 65 preps started at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in Noble Park last Thursday.
Prep teacher Deana Portia said there was a mixture of emotions on their first day.
“There was a lot of excitement from all of them, nerves for some and a few tears,” she said.
“There was also a lot of excitement from the teachers and parents to see them arrive and in their uniforms for the first time … they all looked very cute.”
Ms Portia said the students had all settled in well.
“Most have made a great transition from kinder to school,” she said.
“Some still get a bit hungry and tired around lunchtime, but genuinely they are all doing quite well.
“We have a great bunch of Preps, who are all bright-eyed and ready for the year ahead.”
