THE Dandenong Market will officially re-open this weekend after its redevelopment.
The market will celebrate with a grand opening on Saturday 4 June that includes performances, cooking demonstrations, entertainers and give-aways.
Greater Dandenong mayor Roz Blades encouraged everyone to come and experience the new market which will provide locals with the best in fresh and affordable produce.
“Behind this incredible redevelopment has always been a simple wish – to offer our residents the best in fresh, healthy and affordable produce,” Cr Blades said.
“The redevelopment will make shopping at the market a more enjoyable experience and allow for the attraction of a much broader customer base.”
The refurbishment included a new meat, fish and deli hall, a refurbished fruit and vegetable section, a new produce hall and general merchandise hall.
The grand opening starts at 10.30am at the market.
