STUDENTS turned teachers at Silverton Primary School this month.
The Noble Park school was among hundreds across Australia taking part in Kids Teaching Kids Week, 9 to 13 September.
It hosted eight schools including Dandenong North’s St Elizabeth’s, Wooranna Park and Rosewood Downs primary schools, Dandenong primary school, Dandenong High School and Carwatha College in Noble Park North.
Silverton pupils taught their peers about climate change, water, waste, conservation, energy, drought, habitat destruction, population and pollution.
They used workshops in propagating plants, making badges, designing a message to go on templates for stormwater drains, art activities, making nesting boxes and more to share the information.
