DANCE and song united young and old at Valley Village Mews Retirement Village last month.
Emerson School junior/senior campus principal Dianne Wright has taught line dancing there every fortnight since 1995.
“The Valley Village Mews staff and residents donate all money raised throughout the year from the fortnightly line dancing lessons and concert to Emerson School,” she said.
“Last year we used it to purchase some iPads for our junior school.”
Each November students perform for residents and share lunch.
“It is a very special time that both students and residents treasure,” Ms Wright said.
“Many friendships have formed between the students and residents as they renew their acquaintances each year.”
