POLICE have laid drug trafficking and possession charges following raids in Dandenong North and Keysborough.
Greater Dandenong CIU Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said the Dandenong Tasking Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Barbara Avenue, Dandenong North, on 17 February.
They arrested a 28-year-old man living at the residence. He pleaded guilty to trafficking methamphetamine and possessing prescription drugs without a prescription, cannabis and proceeds of crime. The man received a 12-month community corrections order.
Acting Det Sgt Kirton said the unit on 20 February executed a warrant at a home in Grevillea Street, Keysborough, and found a loaded sawn-off rifle, about 11 grams of heroin, almost $20,000 in cash, ammunition and 1.7g of methamphetamine.
Police charged a 32-year-old woman from the address with possessing methamphetamine. She was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 8 April.
A man, 31, who also lived at the address, was remanded in custody in relation to trafficking and possessing heroin, firearms offences and proceeds of crime offences.
He’s to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 5 March.
