Forum to help build city ties

CHINESE business leaders visited Dandenong last week to meet their counterparts from Greater Dandenong and beyond.
The delegates travelled from the Tongshan District government within Greater Dandenong’s sister city Xuzhou.
Greater Dandenong business group mananger Paul Kearsley said representatives from a textile company, food companies and a construction company also attended the 20 April discussions.
“We held a business forum where local and regional businesses with a focus on food and food processing presented their products and provided information on what they produce,” he said.
Local companies in attendance included AgriBusiness Gippsland, Vizzarri Farms and Delica Global, Corex, Darnum Park Estate, Waterwheel, Hellay Australia, Golden Fields Nutrition Australia and Nutrition Care.
They were involved in growing asparagus and other vegetables, olive oil products, biscuits, baby formula and similar products, plastic packaging, muesli and cereals, vitamins and health care products.
The visit was part of broader council efforts to facilitate business between the cities.
