Carols home in on Harmony

By CASEY NEILL

DANDENONG Carols by Candlelight is moving to Harmony Square.
The 68th incarnation of the event will leave Dandenong Park for the bright lights of the Lonsdale Street civic centre.
Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce executive officer Amanda Checken said she hoped the move would boost attendance.
“There’ll be extra foot traffic,” she said.
“We can trial it this year. If it doesn’t quite work we can move it back.”
Live performances will kick off at 6.30pm on Friday 18 December and will include children’s entertainment group The Workers.
Justin Peters, Emma Kate Tobia, the City of Greater Dandenong Band and the Greater Dandenong Sings choir will return, and Santa will make an appearance.
