DANDENONG and Keysborough students have helped to brighten the lives of sick kids.
Students from Dandenong West Primary and Haileybury’s Newlands campus joined 100 kids from 12 schools at the soon-to-open Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton on Monday 26 and Wednesday 28 October.
With help from about 30 volunteers from PPG Architectural Coatings, they painted murals on the hoardings surrounding the construction site.
Dandenong West’s design included a genie-inspired cloud of hearts while flowers were the order of the day from Haileybury.
They’ll be displayed in the new hospital once it opens as a colourful symbol of support from the community, creating a bright environment for patients and their families.
