A driver crashed his car into a power pole in Springvale and fled on foot from the scene.
Police are appealing for public help as they investigate the crash, which occurred about 1.45pm on Wednesday 13 September.
Police said a Toyota station wagon was travelling south along Springvale Road when the driver appeared to lose control of the car.
It ran off the road and crashed into a power pole near Boulton Avenue.
The man got out of the car and was last seen headed down Rosalie Street.
He was described as Asian in appearance and about 20 to 30 years old with a solid build and unshaven face.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey jumper and light pants.
