One Greater Dandenong Council staff member went above and beyond to support the Ride2Work day event in Harmony Square.
At the Monday 23 October council meeting, Mayor Jim Memeti said the employee rode 65 kilometres to reach the Wednesday 18 October event.
The breakfast doubled as the council’s cycling strategy launch.
Cr Memeti said attendance increased 700 per cent on the previous year.
Ride2Work is designed to encourage workers to find time to exercise between work and home.
