Six Greater Dandenong sports clubs will share almost $7000 in grants.
The State Government Sporting Club Grants program cash will buy modern uniforms and equipment and train coaches, officials and volunteers.
The Buckley Ridges Cricket Club and Dandenong Thunder Soccer Club will each receive $1000 for equipment.
Volleyball Victoria in Dandenong, Doveton Special Soccer School and Melbourne Eagles Cricket Club will each get almost $1000 for uniforms.
White Star Dandenong Soccer Club will use $2000 for coaching development and accreditation.
Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams announced the grants on Thursday 25 October.
“We’re giving grassroots sports clubs in Dandenong the support they need to grow their ranks and help more people than ever play the sports they love,” she said.
“Here in Dandenong, we are proud of our clubs and the vital role they play in bringing together our community.”
