Woman, 76, among seven assault victims

An elderly woman was knocked unconscious during a string of assaults in Dandenong, police allege.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives charged a 21-year-old Dandenong man with affray and assault following seven alleged incidents on Lonsdale Street and around the Hub Arcade between 10.30am and 11am on Friday 10 November.
They said a 76-year-old woman was pushing her shopping trolley when she was allegedly struck to the head and lost consciousness.
One of the seven victims was transported to hospital with facial injuries.
The man was remanded at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 November to re-appear on Wednesday 15 November.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any suspicious activity in the area in the lead-up to the alleged assaults.
