Video clue in hunt for assailant

Police hope CCTV images will identify those responsible for an assault and robbery in Dandenong.

Greater Dandenong CIU detectives are investigating the Thursday 2 November incident.

They believe a number of people were at an address on Langhorne Street when a man was assaulted, about 7am.

The attacker then robbed the 45-year-old from Greenvale of cash and fled on foot.

The victim was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

Investigators released still images and CCTV footage of a man they believe might be able to assist with their inquiries.

They urged anyone who was able to identify the man or had any other information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
