Man bashed, robbed at Burden Park

A man out walking through a Springvale park has been bashed by a group of five males and robbed of his mobile phone.

The 48-year-old victim cut through Burden Park playground to Olympic Avenue about 9.10pm on 27 September.

One of the group asked him for the time. The group encircled him and demanded the phone in his hand.

The man was punched to the head several times, and his phone was snatched from him.

He fled, noticing his attackers go back into the park.

They were described as of African appearance.
