AFL: Giant signings

Four former south-east Melbourne footballers last week signed contract extensions with AFL club Greater Western Sydney Giants.

Matt Buntine, Dylan Shiel, Tomas Bugg and Adam Tomlinson all re-signed with the Giants, the club stating their contracts would now extend beyond the 2013 season.

Bugg and Shiel were Caulfield Grammar students and joined the Giants in late 2010 after being chosen to join the club.

Buntine (Dandenong Stingrays) and Tomlinson (Oakleigh Chargers) came through the TAC Cup competition and were taken by the Giants in last year’s draft.

Shiel and Bugg have played in the majority of Giants matches this season while Tomlinson has played four games. Buntine made his debut for the Giants last round.
