GREATER Dandenong detectives have released an image fitting the description of a man wanted for questioning over an attempted abduction of a teenage girl in Dandenong last month.
The 15-year-old girl was walking on Macpherson Street about 7.15am on June 26 when she noticed a man get out of a white old-model Toyota Camry sedan on the opposite side of the road.
He yelled out to her, asking if she needed a lift.
Detectives say the girl walked faster out of fear. The man followed her and made physical threats and the girl ran off.
Detective Shane Pola of Greater Dandenong crime investigation unit said police regard the incident as an attempted abduction.
The teenager has said she didn’t know the man.
He is described as tall, aged 20-30, with black hair and a goatee. He wore a black-hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants with two white stripes.
