Woman punched, robbed in Dandenong

A WOMAN was punched in the head during a robbery in Dandenong last Friday.

Police said the 36-year-old Mitcham woman was walking along Thomas Street near KFC when two men approached her about 8pm last Friday.

Police said the woman alleged that one of the men punched her in the head from behind while the other grabbed her handbag.

The pair, of African appearance, fled along Thomas Street and into Robinson Street.

One of the men is about 180 centimetres, and had dark dreadlocks and a distinctive scar on his face. He wore black, torn jeans and a white T-shirt with a picture of Bob Marley.

The other is about 165 centimetres and has a shaved head. He wore dark clothing.
