Dandenong North teen charged over assault

Police have charged a teenage boy over an assault in Oakleigh last  Sunday which left a man with a laceration to his face.

Detectives from the Monash crime investigation unit searched residences in Woodcock Court, Dandenong North, and Hennings Street, Dandenong, on Friday.

Two people were later arrested in Northumberland Crescent, Shepparton.

Another man was arrested in Shirley Street, Noble Park.

A 16-year-old Dandenong North boy was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury, assault with a weapon and unlawful assault.

He was bailed to appear at a children’s court in November.

An 18-year-old Shepparton man was interviewed and released pending summons and a 20-year-old Noble Park man was assisting police.
