A DANDENONG North man struck it rich while seated on his toilet yesterday morning.
Yesterday, the man in his 30s discovered his fortune while reading Saturday’s TattsLotto results on his laptop. At first flush, he knew he’d won the first-division TattsLotto — a prize he later confirmed was worth $1.48 million.
‘‘I got myself together then ran into the bedroom to tell my wife. She said ‘Don’t wake me up’ but I figured she’d want to hear this,” he said.
The couple plan to use the winnings to take six months travel, including a trip to Vegas and to The Ashes series in England, and to ‘‘pay off the house’’ and set up a real estate business.
He bought the winning entry from Waverley Gardens Lotto, Kiosk 7 in Waverley Gardens shopping centre in Mulgrave.
The store also sold eight first-division winning shares in a 120-share TattsLotto syndicate, each share worth $13,584.92
