TAKING the next step with his basketball, Dandenong Rangers import Daequon Montreal has signed on the dotted line to become an NBL player.
New York born Montreal, 26, who played college basketball for Boise State University, has signed his inaugural National Basketball League (NBL) contract and will play for the Adelaide 36ers in the upcoming season.
The 6’8″ guard first drew attention of national recruiters with his 46-point domination of last year’s SEABL grand final win over Mt Gambier.
He’s currently averaging 23 points and seven rebounds a game for the Rangers, who sit on top of the SEABL East conference with two rounds left in the SEABL season before play-offs.
