EMPLOYEES of Telstra’s Bigpond Internet company were on hand in Dandenong South to help build a home to accomodate a low-income family.
Bigpond is a sponsor of Christian-based group Habitat for Humanity, which builds affordable housing for people who otherwise cannot afford their own home in the current property market.
The employees include, clockwise from back left, Suzanne Kell, Sam Ciccia, Bronwyn Campbell, Yvette Seamons, Christopher Burgess, Courtney Smith, Pam Daire and Angelo Stylianou.
Once completed, Habitat for Humanity will find a suitable family for the home, and help them to acquire a very low-interest home loan.
The home is being built in Dawn Avenue, Dandenong South.
