PARKFIELD was staring at defeat after Berwick dismissed the first XI for 129 in their Dandenong and District Cricket Association Turf 1 match on Saturday.
Will Carr (3/33) and Simon Cornell (3/27) spearheaded the bowling attack for Berwick. In reply to their target, Berwick finished the day 1/70.
Justin Stanton (32) was the only batsman back in the shed, having lost his wicket in the last over of the day.
Parkfield have no doubt conceded first-innings points and would be looking to avoid outright defeat.
