CARLY Wilson has yet to decide whether or not she will play for the Dandenong Rangers in the upcoming Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) season.
The sticking point in negotiations is the fact her boyfriend, Adam Caporn, plays for National Basketball League (NBL) side Perth Wildcats.
If Wilson doesn’t sign on with the Rangers, a transfer to the Perth Lynx is almost certain.
Wilson, who has played 93 games for Dandenong, said she would love to play on with the Rangers, but the decision isn’t that simple.
“I really don’t know to be honest,” she said.
“There are few things to consider, I’ve been doing the whole long-term relationship thing for a while now, so that is something I’ll consider.”
Wilson said money would have almost no impact on her eventual decision.
“Most WNBL players work full-time anyway, money is not a major factor,” she said.
If Wilson decides to play on with the Rangers, she will join veteran recruit Larissa Cavanagh, who recently signed with Dandenong.
Cavanagh decided to leave the Bulleen Boomers after 10 years of service, but the decision was not easy.
“This was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, however I felt that after 10 years I needed a change and the time was right.
“After speaking to Gary Fox (Dandenong Rangers coach) I believe I have made a decision I will not regret, and I am looking forward to some new challenges,” Cavanagh told www.dandenongrangers.com.au.
